we are a hostel in the heart of the old city, the historic centre of montevideo, uruguay, but —most importantly— we are also a community that actively promotes respect for all animal species and their right to enjoy a life free from suffering and exploitation, in freedom

our location, on the pedestrian street of pérez castellano, just four blocks from the port, makes casa vegana a strategic point from which to visit countless tourist attractions, such as the rambla, historic buildings such as salvo palace, solís theatre, museums, cultural centres and traditional neighbourhoods

we welcome both vegan and non-vegan guests in private and shared rooms, all with access to a fully equipped kitchen free from animal exploitation — everything you need to feel at home and connect with a growing global community fighting for a more just and loving world
